Welcome!

Hello there!

Scientist by day, photographer by night…
and sometimes the other way around.

It’s a small ritschi in a big world.

This is my personal website that I update incredibly irregularly. It contains personal anecdotes, and photographic evidence of the many wonders of this world.

By far incomplete, ever to be extended.

About Me

I was born in 1992 in Tirol (Austria), where I grew up. Since then I have lived in Zurich (Switzerland), Dublin (Ireland), Beijing (China), and Kyoto (Japan).

I am a scientist, educated in Physical Chemistry, in particular Electron Paramagnetic Resonance spectroscopy (for more information see a list of my published work on Google scholar, and the Tiny Science Corner below).

Photography is a long time hobby of mine, 2020 has finally given me the opportunity to set up this cozy litte page to showcase some of my work, and sporadically add some content.

Education & Interest

I studied Interdisciplinary Science at ETH Zurich, where I continued my education with a PhD in Electron Paramagnetic Resonance in the group of Prof. Jeschke.

I am mostly interested in using site-directed spin labelling and pulsed dipolar spectroscopy to (un-)structurally characterise highly dynamic protein domains.

Pulsed dipolar EPR spectroscopy can be used to measure nano-meter distance distributions between spin labels…

… that are useful for ensemble structural modelling of proteins with disordered domains.
